The term digital twin covers a wide range, from a live dashboard tied to an asset hierarchy to a physics-accurate model that can predict behavior under new conditions. Much of the disappointment in twin programs comes from blurring those levels: promising the second while funding the first.
We start by defining the fidelity your decisions actually need, then build up from reliable data foundations. Asset models, telemetry integration and semantic relationships come first; 3D visualization and simulation are added where they earn their cost.
商業應用
- 01
Facility and building operations
Twins of buildings or campuses that combine BIM geometry with building management, energy and occupancy data, helping operations teams locate issues, plan maintenance and compare performance across sites.
- 02
Production line visibility
Models of manufacturing lines that link equipment state, throughput and quality data to a spatial layout, so engineers can trace bottlenecks and test layout changes virtually before moving equipment.
- 03
Infrastructure and distributed assets
Twins of utility networks, vehicle fleets or logistics hubs that join GIS data, asset registers and IoT telemetry to support condition monitoring and maintenance prioritization across wide areas.
- 04
What-if analysis
Twins connected to simulation engines that evaluate proposed changes to schedules, configurations or staffing against modeled behavior, with assumptions and confidence levels made explicit to decision-makers.
工程方法
- 01
Decision framing
We identify the specific decisions the twin should support and the fidelity, latency and accuracy each one requires, which keeps scope tied to value rather than ambition.
- 02
Data and semantic model
Asset hierarchies and relationships are modeled using standards such as DTDL, OpenUSD and the Asset Administration Shell, mapped to source systems and validated with site teams.
- 03
Telemetry integration
We connect historians, SCADA, IoT platforms and enterprise systems through governed pipelines, resolving time alignment, units and data quality before anything is visualized.
- 04
Visualization and simulation
Spatial views are built in NVIDIA Omniverse, Unity or web 3D frameworks where geometry adds insight, and simulation is layered in only once the data foundation is trustworthy.
- 05
Validation and stewardship
We compare twin outputs against observed outcomes, document known gaps, and establish ownership and update processes so the twin stays aligned with the physical system over time.

決策者關心的問題
Do we need 3D for a useful digital twin?
Not always. Many valuable twins are primarily data models presented in 2D. 3D helps when spatial relationships matter, such as layouts, clearances, line of sight or navigating large sites. We add it where it improves understanding, not because it is expected.
How accurate will the twin be?
Accuracy depends on data quality, sensor coverage and how much of the system is modeled from physics versus observed data. We define target accuracy for each decision up front, measure against it during validation, and document where the twin should not be relied on.
Can a digital twin work with our existing systems?
It should. A twin is largely an integration exercise, drawing on the historians, SCADA, ERP, maintenance and GIS systems you already run. We connect to those systems through standard protocols and interfaces rather than replacing them.
