개요
Telematics sits where vehicle electronics, radio networks and cloud software meet, and each layer has its own failure modes. A dependable platform has to decode manufacturer-specific CAN signals, tolerate dead zones, reconcile GNSS drift and handle devices from several hardware vendors at once.
iQsolutions engineers that stack end to end: device integration and protocol decoding, ingestion pipelines sized for high-frequency position data, trip and event logic, and APIs that feed dispatch, maintenance, compliance and customer-facing applications.
비즈니스 활용 분야
- 01
Vehicle health and diagnostics
Read engine parameters and diagnostic trouble codes through J1939 and OBD-II, giving maintenance teams enough context to decide whether a vehicle needs a workshop visit or can safely complete its route.
- 02
Driver behavior and safety
Detect harsh braking, rapid acceleration, cornering and speeding events from accelerometer and vehicle data, feeding coaching programs and safety reviews with consistent, explainable event definitions.
- 03
Fuel and energy monitoring
Track fuel consumption and idling and, for electric vehicles, state of charge and charging sessions, so operations teams can compare efficiency across vehicles, routes and drivers using normalized data.
- 04
Multi-vendor device consolidation
Normalize data from several telematics hardware providers into one schema and API, letting fleets mix devices across regions or acquisitions without maintaining parallel platforms and duplicate reporting.
엔지니어링 접근 방식
- 01
Map vehicles, devices and signals
We catalog vehicle makes, telematics units and available buses, then establish which parameters are accessible through standard J1939 PGNs, OBD-II PIDs or documented manufacturer-specific definitions.
- 02
Design the device-to-cloud protocol
Reporting intervals, event triggers, payload compression and store-and-forward behavior are specified to balance data resolution against cellular cost and device power constraints.
- 03
Build ingestion for position-heavy data
Pipelines absorb high volumes of timestamped GNSS points, deduplicate retransmissions, order late arrivals and enrich positions with geofences, road context and trip boundaries.
- 04
Codify trips, events and rules
Trip segmentation, idling detection, geofence entry and exit, and alert rules are implemented as versioned, testable logic rather than buried inside dashboard queries.
- 05
Expose data through stable APIs
Documented REST and streaming APIs let dispatch, ERP, maintenance and customer systems consume telematics data without depending on any single hardware vendor's format.

리더들이 자주 묻는 질문
Can you work with our existing telematics hardware?
In most cases, yes. We integrate with devices that expose data through vendor cloud APIs, direct TCP or MQTT streams, or documented binary protocols. Where hardware limits what is possible, for example when there is no CAN access, we identify the gap and recommend options before any build begins.
How do you handle manufacturer-specific CAN data?
J1939 and OBD-II cover many standard parameters, but some data is proprietary. We work from signal definitions supplied by the manufacturer, hardware vendor or client, and we avoid unauthorized reverse engineering. Decoding definitions are held in versioned configuration so they can change without redeploying the platform.
What about driver privacy?
Telematics data can identify individuals, so privacy is part of the design: role-based access, configurable retention, off-duty privacy modes where appropriate and audit trails. Legal and policy decisions remain with you and your counsel; we implement the technical controls those decisions require.
