Intelligent Infrastructure and Connected Systems

Internet of Things

End-to-end IoT engineering: device connectivity, secure messaging, cloud ingestion and the applications that make connected products and assets useful.

Overview

Connected products succeed or fail on unglamorous details: how a device authenticates, what happens when it loses coverage for a day, how a firmware update rolls back, and whether the data arriving in the cloud can be trusted. We engineer those details alongside the visible application layer.

Our teams design the full path, from device provisioning and MQTT or cellular messaging to cloud ingestion, storage and APIs, along with the dashboards, mobile apps and integrations that put connected data in front of operators, customers and service teams. Architecture choices stay vendor-aware without becoming vendor-bound.

Business applications

  1. 01

    Connected product platforms

Give manufacturers of equipment, appliances or instruments a secure cloud backbone for their devices, with provisioning, telemetry, remote configuration and customer-facing applications built on a common data model.

  2. 02

    Asset and environment monitoring

Track temperature, humidity, occupancy, energy use or location across buildings, warehouses and remote sites, with alert rules that route exceptions to the right team instead of flooding a shared inbox.

  3. 03

    Cold-chain and condition tracking

Monitor perishable or sensitive goods in transit and storage, combining sensor readings with GNSS location so quality teams can see exactly when and where a shipment drifted out of range.

  4. 04

    Smart building and campus systems

Integrate metering, HVAC, access and environmental sensors into one operational view, using LoRaWAN or NB-IoT where wiring is impractical and open APIs for facilities and sustainability reporting.

Engineering approach

  1. 01

Define the use case and data contract

We start with the decisions the system must support, then specify the signals, sampling rates, payload schemas and quality thresholds those decisions depend on.

  2. 02

Choose the connectivity and hardware path

Wi-Fi, LTE-M, NB-IoT, LoRaWAN and wired options are weighed against coverage, power budget, data volume and total cost, and hardware candidates are validated on the bench.

  3. 03

    Engineer secure device identity

Each device receives a unique X.509 identity, least-privilege topic permissions and an update path for credentials and firmware, so a single compromised unit cannot expose the wider fleet.

  4. 04

    Build ingestion, storage and APIs

Telemetry flows through a managed broker into stream processing and time-series storage, exposed through versioned APIs that applications, analytics and partner systems can consume independently.

  5. 05

    Pilot, observe and scale

A limited field deployment surfaces what lab testing misses, such as coverage gaps, battery drain and clock drift. We resolve those issues before expanding device counts and sites.

Questions leaders ask

Do you design hardware or only software?

Our core strength is software across the stack: firmware integration, connectivity, cloud and applications. For custom hardware, we work with your chosen electronics partner or help evaluate off-the-shelf gateways and sensor modules, and we define the interface contract between hardware and software so both sides can build in parallel.

Will we be locked into a single cloud provider?

Not by default. We use open protocols such as MQTT and keep device payloads and business logic portable. Managed services like AWS IoT Core or Azure IoT Hub are often the pragmatic choice, but we isolate provider-specific code so a later move is a project rather than a rewrite.

How do you handle devices with intermittent connectivity?

We design for disconnection from the start. Devices or gateways buffer timestamped readings locally, use MQTT persistent sessions and appropriate quality-of-service levels, and reconcile on reconnect. The cloud side accepts late and out-of-order data so that dashboards and analytics remain consistent.
